HISTORY
The Warrington Township Volunteer Fire Company #1 was organized March 27th 1924 with twenty-two members with the purpose to protect life and property from the destruction of fire. Through the years since 1924, Warrington Fire Company has continued this mission and continue to grow with members, technology, equipment, and apparatus. As land with businesses and housing continue to expand the need for increased services developed. An additional staiton was added to the upper end of town originally operating out of the public works garage, then eventually transitioning to it's own station becoming Staiton 78. The two stations continue to serve the township today providieing quality protection of life safety and property conservation.
In 2015 the need for additoinal support was met with partnering with the Warrington Township Department of Emergecny Services. During the day Monday-Friday 0630-1630 a crew of 4 opperates on Rescue 78, as well as a Deputy Chief and Battalion Chief. These career staff work along side with the volunteers to cover the emergecny calls in the township.
